For years, I have searched high and low for a word processing program that operated like Microsoft Word. As a word processing specialist, the skills I've developed over the years have allowed me to adapt to just about any type of word processing software. However, this doesn't mean the experience is pleasurable!

To be honest, it has been downright annoying to produce the kind of documents I once would produce with ease while working in Microsoft Word. Slight differences in programing would turn a 5-minute job, into a job that took 30-minutes or more! Jobs like this were enough to make me want to scream and I can't tell you how many times I wished that I had Microsoft Word once again.

The truth is, after my computer died on me and the installation disks I had on hand were no longer readable... I was forced to try and find an alternative as my budget was tight and I did not have the financial means to go out and buy a new word processing program and if I were to purchase one... Microsoft Office would be number one on my list... that is UNTIL I stumbled across Kingsoft Office!

Never have I been so pleased with another word processing program that I have found for free! Kingsoft Office has acted and felt as though I am in Microsoft Word, I can barely tell the difference! This makes producing the types of documents enjoyable again! No more hunting around for basic formatting operations like adding page numbers (This BASIC function can be a nightmare in other open source word processing programs!).

I had all but given up on my search and actually chose to pursue other career aspirations due to the high cost of the software I would need to purchase in order to produce the profesisonal results I once was able to produce with such ease when using Microsoft's Office Suite. I didn't feel confident that I would be able to deliver the type of results that I could before.

Then just a few weeks ago, I was looking for another program over at download.com and I happened to see a download for Kingsoft Office. I admit, I was skeptical at first and I even asked myself "why are you wasting your time?". I had given up hope to ever finding a program that even came close to MS Word... but, I glanced down at a review that caught my eye. The review claimed how alike Kingsoft Office was to MS Word and went on and on about how they couldn't even tell they were not working in office at all. Then I read several more comments that all gave rave reviews and all mentioned how seemless it felt working inside this program... how this program looked and felt just like the version of Office I was the most effecient in.

So of course I had to try it and I am SO GLAD I did! They were right! It does feel like you're working in Microsoft Office... the differences are so slight and barely noticable... it is an absolute godsent! I would recommend Kingsoft Office to anyone! Especially one looking to keep $100.00 or so in your pocket!

I too have struggled with finding an office package with the features and similarity of use to Microsoft's, without the bulky price tag.

Based on your review, it sounds like KINGSOFT Office may be just what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the heads up!
